Hello to everyone,

Due to the weather I was unable to come to the last event on 18.10. How was it? What is the approximate time difference on the wet and dry track?
We are starting to prepare for the winter, hope to see you on 23.01.2010  Hymyilee

Track was very slippery in morning. got better during the day. 
Ahvenisto is nice but challencing track to drive when wet.  I even crashed/spinned my golf on main straiths fast corner.  (didint stop me from driving)  we took tractor an chains and got back wheels rolling again...  I had too thik antirolllin bar in back and didint have enouf grip on wet tarmac. 

laptimes.
I usually drive 1,41-1,37 whit my old golf 2 GTi 16v on dry track. 1.37 whit slicks.
now in morning whit bad street tyres 1,54,.. and when the track got dryer in evening my best was 1.45.2
And I may sure that i gave my  everything during the day.

Hello,

you have pretty nice time, last time I was on Ahvenisto and tried to measure lap time with the help  of my friend in my car I had 1.37.37... However I did many mistakes, and my friend ads additional 90 kg to the weight of the car... my friend, who was sitting in the car told me that he was scared a bit Iskee silmää Motorsport is dangerous, takecare, I''m glad that the spin didn't stop you from driving. I never thought about such a difference on the wet track (unfortunately I never tried to race on some wet track), I've tried just some "slow challenges" in Russia on wet. Anyway I'll be back on the next season to improve the results, and see you on winter events.

Hi!

It was indeed a bit slippery in the beginning but on the other hand the wet track seemed to suit my smart Roadster much better than to the other, mostly front engined cars that seemed to be really in trouble slipping and sliding all over the track. The first laps at noon was round  2.10 and at 4pm when I unfortunately had to leave the track lap time was down to 1.50 which is 6 secs slower than my best so far on dry track at Ahvenisto. I think I would have been able to get pretty close to my record 1.43,9 and maybe even break it if I had had the time to stick around for the last two hours as the track was getting so much better over the last ten laps of the total of 66 laps I did. Then again this will leave me more room for improvement next summer.
