Alastaro 05.09.2009 - 06.09.2009

Hello to everyone,

we're thinking about Alastaro race track on 05.09.09-06.09.09.

I just write to confirm regarding this race - What about the timeattack race sessions?

Is it going to be during both days; or is it going to be like Ahvenisto last time (timeattack sessions were during the first day only, and the last day was drift-day only)?

I believe that TimeAttack is Saturday only, Sunday seems to be Drift-Only day =)

unfortunately I wasn't able to go on Alastaro, but will go to Finals on Ahvenisto on 26/09/2009 with friends for sure See you there. I tried to look for the beginning time, however coudn't find anything 
Is it acceptable if we come around 10-00 a.m. ?

Just returned from the event yesturday, everything was nice and hot as usual, however from my point of view it would be great to pay some attention to "Time-Attack", as once we came to the track we were told that there was no time-attack sessions Anyway we enjoyed the race and also set the times with the time-meter, however it's very important for time-attackers to know the exact time round the track.
As we can see drifting is more popular in Finland than Time-attack (It's very different about that situation in Russia - we have lot's of people who prefer time-attack and rally, and just a couple of people who makes drifting). Will you have some events in Winter? Also do you think there will be time-attack in the future? I saw that organisators have added one more event on Ahvenisto on 18.10.2009, is it going to be time-attack there? (I do appologize for such a lot of questions, however it's difficult to understand what's written in Finnish while I'm not speaking this language )

P.S. Just one more thing. I don't know the name of the driver who had crash with M3 - it's a very big pity. Poor man, he was driving perfectly, but it seems he made some mistake... As I can remember from Ahvenisto 08.08.09-09.08.09 he had some outstanding time like about 1.30.something - it's incredibly fast. I really hope that he will fix his car. Things happen, anyway the most important thing is human life...

Hi, what I can say from my behalf is for that M3 that crashed, it wasn't the owner who drove at that moment, but wasnt behind that wheel for the first time either.. He also said, that he will fix that car during the winter and try again next year, shit happens..

and in the other news, we have 5-6 winter events, starting with Hyvinkää 23.1.2010. I personally would like to see you guys there with your Evo's and STi's maybe on extraday on Ahvenisto?

I had a great day, few unfortunate crashes but speed and dangerous situations are part of motorsport

Thank you for the invitation. Do you think there will be time-attack sessions? Or is it possible to request to make few time-attack sessions with tellemetry?
Sorry for lots of questions again, the thing is few more people here are thinking about racing on Ahvenisto at 18.10.2009, however as usual here they prefer time - attack I will try to come in any way
Your winter events are astonishing I think we have to start preparing the cars for that.
Is it possible to race on any street tired, like Nokian Hakkapelita 5 (for example)?

On 18.10. and on winter trackdays there is no timeattack, sorry.

On extraday 18.10. @ Ahvenisto the twenty minute slots will be only for cars by turns for grip and drifting, no slots for bikes at all. The track will be open 12-18, we will link the schedule here for you when it´s fixed on.

On every winterevent we´ll have sprint with timing for streetcars (in Finnish Katuautosprint), divided for two categories: two wheel drive and four wheel drive.

By the way, you don´t have to apologize for your questions, we are happy to help you and I bet there are also few other drivers who are interested in these same questions – in English.
